Volunteers are an important part of the Kinship Equine Therapy community. Whether you have years of experience around horses or have never stepped into a barn before, there are meaningful ways to lend a hand and support our mission.
No previous horse experience is necessary. Training and guidance will be provided.
Who Can Volunteer?
- Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older
- No previous horse experience is necessary
- Training and guidance are provided
- Individuals, families, students, retirees, veterans and community members are welcome to inquire
- Community service hours are available
- Kinship Equine Therapy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
For volunteers under 18, parent or guardian permission may be required.
Where Volunteers Make an Impact
Volunteer opportunities vary depending on current program and ranch needs. Potential volunteer activities may include:
Helping with horse and barn care
Assisting with ranch and facility projects
Preparing spaces for programs and activities
Helping with special events and fundraisers
Grounds and property projects
Administrative or organizational help
Supporting community outreach activities
Other needs as they arise

Need Community Service Hours?
Kinship Equine Therapy welcomes eligible volunteers seeking community service hours. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we can provide documentation of approved volunteer hours completed with Kinship.
Volunteers must meet Kinship's volunteer requirements and follow all applicable policies and supervision requirements.
