What Can Equine-Assisted Services Look Like?
Equine-assisted experiences do not require previous horse experience, and many activities can take place on the ground rather than in the saddle. Depending on the program and participant goals, experiences may include interacting with horses, observation, grooming, leading, relationship-building activities, problem-solving exercises, experiential learning, reflection, and other professionally facilitated activities.
Activities are selected based on the individual's or group's needs, goals, abilities, and comfort level.
